The idea of an Earth or Air sign native turning oneself into a piece of art for its own sake would make sense. However, it doesn't make any sense in the case of a November born character, not unless there was a practical precedence behind his motives (i.e. his body was failing him due to disease or condition..).

I just feel the character was never explained well enough in his development...He thinks and acts like a water sign native, however his ends due not agree with his base motives...
